Set beside eucalyptus woods and a tranquil lake in Mi'le, Yunnan, Muxingu transforms a former geometric art studio into an immersive wellness sanctuary. The design honors the natural topography, drawing from regional mountain-dwelling traditions to build along natural contours and center life around open courtyards.

Fusing contemporary minimalism with native textures, the space integrates raw volcanic stone, timber, woven bamboo, live moss, and still water, all subtly accented by local ethnic tiles. The full sequence of guest rituals, spanning arrival, tea tasting, spa therapies, and rest, connects into a fluid physical and mental journey. Through layered techniques of filtering light, borrowing landscapes, and crafting spatial rhythm, the project unfolds a deeply quiet, multi-sensory healing retreat.
