Mastering the classical wisdom of "Borrowed Scenery," the design reimagines the courtyard as a central light atrium that permeates the entire home, inviting in skylight and nature. The layout extracts the structural essence of the Shikumen and unfolds gradually along a fluid loop circulation.

The open-plan living and dining areas connect seamlessly with the courtyard, dissolving boundaries. Amidst a delicate interplay of light and shadow, vintage sofas are artfully juxtaposed with British armchairs, composing a contemporary expression of the enduring Shanghai-Style spirit.
