THE BUND
RESIDENCE
An enduring imprint in a century-old heritage.

Deeply rooted in the city's cultural heritage, the interior design of The Bund Residence draws inspiration from the architectural wisdom of historic Haipai (Shanghai-style) mansions and the lingering, vibrant soul of the Lilong (alleyways). Anchored by the traditional technique of "borrowing light to frame a view" as its spatial framework, the design ingeniously integrates cultural motifs such as the silhouettes of Shikumen, handcrafted lacquer fireplaces, and exquisite Haipai embroidery. In the heart of the bustling metropolis, it awakens a private memory woven with time, art, and ultimate luxury, perfectly epitomizing the profound tranquility and elegance distinct to Eastern aesthetics.

REASON AND ROMANCE
/ STUDY & MEZZANINE /
In this project, we designed independent yet symbiotically resonant spiritual domains for both the husband and wife. His study embodies calm rationality, blending dark walnut, charcoal, and brass with elegant ink art for a balanced, low-key luxury. Her mezzanine salon is a warm, coffee-toned retreat for fashion and gatherings, accented with gold and emerald to celebrate the exquisite romance of Haipai culture.
A TENDER REVERIE
/ BEDROOM /

The master bedroom on the second floor is anchored by "tranquility." The slim black frames of the floor-to-ceiling windows outline the vigorous strength of Shikumen architecture, initiating a dialogue between "strength and softness" with the embroidered headboard inspired by Qipao elements. This thoughtful pairing allows Haipai culture to gently drift into one's dreams, fully expressing the distinct serenity and warmth inherent in Eastern aesthetics.
